The United Teachers of Santa Clara (UTSC) represents 1,000 educators including teachers, psychologists, speech pathologists, counselors, and other certificated personnel in the Santa Clara Unified School District. Affiliated with the 325,000 member California Teachers Association (CTA) and the 3.2 million-member National Education Association (NEA), UTSC exists to represent its members with the goal of improving working conditions and compensation.

Our association believes that every child deserves the best and that public education is an essential institution in promoting and defending our democracy. Our members are passionate advocates for their students.  Our association strives to continually improve public education and provide academic opportunity so students of all backgrounds will grow and thrive. UTSC leadership members promote a collective effort to protect and support teachers by enforcing our contract to ensure that teachers in our district are treated respectfully, professionally, and equitably.

UTSCs Mission is to provide representation of all unit members in all matters related to employment environment, employer-employee relations, and in the terms and conditions of employment contract with Santa Clara Unified School District.

UTSCs Vision is to improve working conditions for all unit members to insure quality public education for every student.
